if possible could you give me at least 5 disadvantages. I tried lookin in the internet but i couldn't find clear answer to my question.What are the disadvantages of Alice programming language?
There have been several attempts to use a metaphor to get non-programmers to think in lines of commands. LOGO, Turtle are very, very elementary. After you draw and repeat a Spirograph artwork, that's the end of the capabilities. Graduates of such a course have no idea this effort was computer programming.
Alice was developed by Carnegie Mellon University as a teaching tool. If you ask for help about Alice from programmers, 99% have no idea how to help unless they quickly learn Alice. Same thing with JCreator and the others. Code is code. You learn to think in code. Java started out as a language, not a sandbox with Objects on a work area.
Alice 3.0 will have a programming / script window that accepts java code.
